Daniel Sullivan

A Connecticut native, Mr. Sullivan began his career in education as classroom teacher in 1993. After gaining experience as a teacher, coach, and high school vice principal in California, he returned to Connecticut as an Assistant Principal at Middletown High School in 2001. He was appointed Principal of New London High School in 2006 and later served 10 years as the Principal of South Windsor High School.
He was hired as Superintendent of the Putnam Public Schools in May 2019. Mr. Sullivan holds an MA in Educational Leadership from California State University San Bernardino, an MA in Teaching from Quinnipiac College, and a BA in Sociology from Albertus Magnus College.
Mr. Sullivan is a member of the Board of Directors at Day Kimball Hospital, on the NEASC Committee on Elementary, Middle, and High Schools; Chair Committee E and Albertus Magnus College Education Advisory Panel since 2006, and previously served on the CIAC Board of Control for 10 years including 3 years as Secretary.
