The Rev. Michael Spencer has worked in independent schools for almost three decades as a Humanities teacher, varsity rowing coach, adviser, chaplain, and administrator.  He currently serves as Vice Rector for Faculty (Associate Head of School) at St. Paul's School in New Hampshire and will begin as Head of School at Oregon Episcopal School this upcoming July.  Michael has served on multiple NEASC accreditation teams.  He served as treasurer of the governing board of the National Association of Episcopal Schools (NAES) and currently serves as secretary and chair of advancement. He is the author of published articles, sermons, and poetry including a curriculum in Applied Ethics. He has presented at many national conferences including NAIS, TABS, POCC, and NAES.
