Nancy Starmer joined the Lincoln Academy community in 2017 as a consultant to the board, then served as Interim Head of School during the 2018-19 school year. At Milton Academy in Boston, where she spent the first 27 years of her career, she wore many hats as a history teacher, dorm head, mid-level administrator, and ultimately Upper School Principal. In 2000 she was named Head of School at George School, a Friends boarding and day school in PA, retiring in 2016 (just in time to become involved in—and fall in love with--Lincoln Academy). She currently lives in Sandwich NH where she also serves on the local district school board.
